MUST READ: 2019 Playoffs: Blazers @ Warriors Game 2
I don't remember Dame taking any shots in the paint (I'm sure he did but if so, Lillard took very few attempts). This is because the Warriors trapped his pick n rolls which led him into a ton of very deep 3's because the screeners' defenders were excellent at not letting Damian get by them to the rim. (I remember OKC struggling in game 3 of the 1st round with this when Lillard exploded in the 3rd quarter). Although he hit a lot of those Steph range 3's at a good % in game 2, Portland has absolutely no chance of winning this series if Dame isn't consistently getting to the basket. Especially since CJ hardly draws fouls and is far more content shooting pull up jumpers and floaters instead of going strong all the way to the rack. Side note: D'Angelo Russell plays like this which will probably prevent him from becoming a superstar (he's a star right now) and maybe getting a max deal (Russell will probably get one this off-season as a restricted free agent or when he's a free agent even if he stays at his level). Anyways, props to Portland for cleaning up the nasty pick n roll defense on Steph. But of course with the Warriors there's always a price to pay no matter what scheme the opposition uses. Trapping Curry and Klay off screens, off the dribble or when they catch the ball, leaves Golden State with a 4v3 advantage. That's when Draymond and Iguodala start carving up helpless defenses with their play making, thus turning the Warriors into an absolutely unguardable machine even though those 2 are very poor shooters that defenders back way off from. Portland doesn't have anyone nearly as good (except for probably Evan Turner who's long been an underrated play maker) in those situations so it's much harder for the Blazers to get those easy shots in a timely manner when Dame and CJ get trapped. However, I'm still sticking with my prediction that the Warriors will beat them in 6 games. Golden State isn't as invincible as they were in past seasons, even with KD. Plus Portland is a really good team that's on or above the level of Houston and Los Angeles, two teams that took the Warriors to 6 games in these playoffs.

You likely wont agree with everything and that's ok because nobody agrees with every opinion, regardless of the subject. Just know that I tried my best to be objective as possible.
