MUST READ: 2019 Playoffs: Sixers @ Raptors Game 7
What an absolutely embarrassing finish offensively for Philly late in the 4th. They executed like a pickup team and this has often been the case all season at any point in games. The 76ers might be the most stagnant team in the NBA and since they arguably have the most talented starting lineup in the league, Philadelphia was able to get by with 51 wins and give the impression to some that they were a championship contender, which Philly was far from. They waste too many possessions aimlessly dribbling and passing, praying that they get at least a decent shot. (Butler is a great player but it was clear all series, even when he and the team were playing exceptionally well, that Jimmy isn't good enough to be spending basically all game playing point). A huge part of that problem is having to play Embiid and Simmons so much time together. This has always been a bad fit which became more problematic when Butler, a ball dominant wing that's a below average 3-point shooter, came. The reason is because both are almost, or completely in Ben's case, useless without the ball outside the paint and need the ball on a consistent basis to be at their best (yet it's amazing how many times Gasol, Ibaka and others in the league fall for Joel's pump fake at the 3 point line). Joel has a tendency to shoot too many 3's, he's been way below average the past 2 seasons, and the biggest reason why is because Ben is right next to or inside the paint basically all the time when he doesn't have the ball. Simmons has to be there because he LITERALLY doesn't know how to shoot a basketball outside of a few feet. So too many times there isn't enough room for Embiid to do his best damage driving to the basket or on the block. Both are hall of fame talents but Philly won't be a championship contender with both of them. Even if they won last night, the 76ers would've got destroyed by Milwaukee in the next round. Before the series, I picked Toronto to beat Philadelphia in 5 games because of those issues but it went all the way to the end of game 7 because the raptors became a seriously flawed team during the series (which I'll get to later in a separate post). I think Milwaukee beats them in 6 games.

You likely wont agree with everything and that's ok because nobody agrees with every opinion, regardless of the subject. Just know that I tried my best to be objective as possible.
